Abstract

The purpose of the “CIM Training in Europe” Conference, in the eyes of its sponsors, is to present selected examples of vocational training for computer-integrated production and discuss them among experts. After a 5-year experimental phase the contours of various CIM training concepts are now beginning to take on definite shape. Four directions of development and fields of application can be clearly distinguished from one another.
