Organizations today need to adopt relevant technology in order to remain competitive. Staff time is a valuable resource and the judicious incorporation of technological advances can assist in improving their productivity, or indeed creativity. The tasks that organizations perform, the methods they adopt, and the quality thresholds that they must achieve, are becoming ever more complex and demanding (see Chapter 1).
