Abstract
Information Technologists have moved from data processing into the information processing and are now moving then into the field of true knowledge processing. A new term “Expert Database System” (EDS) has emerged to refer to an important research area in this field. This paper presents an investigation into issues concerning the design of an Expert Database System Development Tool by using object oriented technology. The paper describes a system which has been developed by the authors and discusses the lessons learnt as a result of the work.
