Abstract

This chapter is dedicated to presenting some applications of the GPC scheme shown in chapter 3 to the control of different processes. The first application presented corresponds to a self-tuning GPC for a distributed collector field of a solar power plant. The control scheme is also applied to a non-linear simulation model of an evaporator. Finally, and in order to illustrate how easily the control scheme can be used in any commercial distributed control system, some applications concerning the control of typical variables such as flows, temperatures and levels of different processes of a pilot plant are presented.
