Abstract

This chapter is devoted to the extension of the results reported in the previous Chapter 4 to the discrete-time framework. Needless to say, completely different proofs are required with respect to the continuous time case. As in the previous Chapter, a discrete-time linear n-dimensional plant without uncertainties is considered first, and a design technique is proposed for finding a linear state feedback controller with the property of having non-increasing norm along the closed-loop system trajectories.
