Abstract

Most developmental and congenital anomalies of the pancreas are very rare. They may or may not occur in association with other congenital abnormalities or as part of a congenital syndrome. This chapter describes in greater detail the developmental anomalies that are not so uncommon: pancreas divisum, pancreas annulare, pancreatic heterotopia, pancreatobiliary maljunction, and ectopic tissue within the pancreas. Other rare conditions are summarized in tabulated form.
