Abstract

Clonazepam (Fig. 1) corresponds chemically to 5-(2-chlorophenol)-1,3-dihydro-7-nitro-2H-1,4 benzodiazepin-2-one with an empirical formula of C15H10ClN3O3 and a molecular weight of 315.71.
