Abstract
A previously well 26 year old man presents with an 18 month history of slowly progressive unilateral left hand weakness without sensory symptoms. Examination findings are consistent with an isolated left posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) lesion, a finding which is confirmed by electrophysiology. Forearm magnetic resonance imaging shows appearances felt typical of a left PIN intraneural perineurioma. The patient proceeds to posterior interosseous nerve exploration and biopsy; histopathological examination of the lesion revealing findings consistent with an intraneural perineurioma.
