Abstract
The need to take user requirements into account is especially important in designing Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) systems, because CSCW involves not only people interacting with computers but also people interacting with one another, bringing into play a whole new set of design issues. Designers need to be able to incorporate these human factors into a system, while at the same time addressing a variety of the technical issues of implementation.
