Linear idealizations of tension tests most often used in the literature are illustrated in Fig. 7.1. They show the following materials (a) rigid ideal-plastic, (b) ideal elasto-plastic, (c) linear hardening rigid-plastic, (d) linear hardening elasto-plastic.
