Abstract
This chapter is a personal account of motor neuron disease, describing the advent of the disease, its relentless course, and the brave and continual efforts made by the patient, and his wife and family, to cope with its debilitating effects. This patient’s illness occurred during the early 1980s, but despite the decade that has elapsed, treatment remains inefficacious, and the tragedy is thus repeated.
