Abstract
In Japan, the National Institute of Hygienic Sciences is an authorizing department for the dietary intake survey of chemicals such as food contaminants and food additives. Surveys of the intake of food pollutants have been carried out since 1981 and of food additives since 1980 as a part of the Scientific Research of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
