Abstract

FAIS stands for “Factory Automation Interconnection System,” a research and development project being pursued by the International Robotics and Factory Automation Center (IROFA) under a commission from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. The purpose of this project was to develop unified interconnection technology for the automatic equipment used in manufacturing.
