Abstract

MC^3 bridges the gap between a production plan and the shop-floor, by translating a production requirement into a production schedule, maximising the use of available resources. This schedule is then applied to the manufacturing facility and closely monitored to ensure that its progress is within user defined limits of the required schedule. Should the shop-floor situation change during a production run, MC^3 is capable of re-routing and re-scheduling on a real-time basis. It therefore optimises the use of shop-floor resources and ensures that production targets are met.
