A FORTRAN 90 to F-code Compiler

  • Conference paper
UK Parallel ’96

Abstract

The recurring problem in supercomputer programming is the difficulty of the software porting process, leading to high costs for software development. This paper outlines the benefits of using a portable software platform, and details one such use.

The portable software platform we axe concerned with is F-code, which is specifically designed to support data-parallel languages. The work described in this paper is part of a larger project, whose aim is to provide a FORTRAN 90 compiler for the Cray T3D supercomputer.
