Abstract
The Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) is a national cooperative study group funded by the National Cancer Institute. On 20 June 1977 the GOG activated Protocol 33 entitled A Clinical –Pathologic Study of Stage I and II Carcinoma of the Endometrium. Approximately 30 participating institutions entered 1180 cases in a little less than 6 years. The study was closed to stage I, Gl cases on 8 October 1979 and to all entries on 5 February 1983. Thus it is a non-consecutive series weighted in favour of the G2, G3 lesions.
