A Suburban Observatory in Worcester Park, England

Abstract

Because of the vagaries of the British climate I have found that more observing can be done from my own back garden than by moving equipment to a remote and maybe darker site. In any case, transportation becomes pretty impractical for an equatorially driven telescope of over 250 mm (10 in) aperture — and I had a 440 mm (17½ in) Newtonian in mind.
