Abstract
Most serious Windows applications use a database. Visual Basic version 4 allowed you to write applications which not only used databases but also allowed you to create your own databases without the need to have a separate database application such as Access. Version 5 has increased the number of databases which are supported and the user interface for creating and managing databases has been greatly improved. The Visual Data Manager has been included which covers all aspects of database management. A Data Form Wizard has also been introduced which simplifies the building of user interfaces for database applications.
