World Wide Web - future uses

  • Paul Jenkins
Conference paper

Abstract

The availability of the World Wide Web protocols is imposing massive changes in the philosophy of the Internet. The population of World Wide Web users now includes people who do not understand the complexities of networking, because they no longer need to. The resulting user base will include a full cross-section of the population and the Internet can no longer be ignored as an “Anoraks Only” environment.
