Abstract

Tantawi and Towsley [TT84] have considered the optimal static load balancing in a general star network configuration. In Tantawi and Towsley model, however, there is only one-way traffic from satellite nodes to the central node in the sense that jobs can be forwarded for remote processing only from satellites to the central node.
