Abstract
The CT2 Common Air Interface Specification [1] is designed to ensure interoperability between second-generation (digital) cordless handsets and basestations from different manufacturers. Originally published as a UK MPT specification [2], it became adopted as an Interim European Telecommunication Standard (I-ETS) in 1990, with a second edition published in 1994. This chapter briefly summarises the technical details of the CT2 CAI Standard.
