Abstract
Beyond the mighty Jupiter lies the second biggest planet of the Solar System — Saturn. Also a gas-giant world, Saturn has an equatorial diameter of 120 000 km and a mass 95 times that of the Earth. The average density of Saturn is a mere 700 kg/m3, less dense than water. Saturn moves through the Solar System at a mean distance of 1400 million km from the Sun, taking 29½ Earth-years to complete one orbit.
