Abstract

The vision of providing to consumer users simultaneous access to a variety of digital audio/video and “native” data services through a unique flexible, reconfigurable, interoperable device, namely a multimode multimedia terminal, is pulling simultaneous progresses in all the relevant technical and standardisation fields.
