Abstract
Nowadays, the choice of a fieldbus is a complex task during the design of a Distributed Automation System. On the one hand, there is a lot of available kind of fieldbuses on the market. On the other hand, constraints and criteria are multiple and difficult to be evaluated. This chapter proposes a means to evaluate some dependability criteria. The security aspect is not taken into account in the present study.
