A Geometric Calibration Method for Single-Head-Cone-Beam X-Ray Systems

Abstract

A single-head cone-beam radiography system consists of: (i) the X-ray source, (ii) the object and its manipulator and (iii) the X-ray detector, as shown in figure 1. In this case, the detector consists of a fluoroscopic converter screen, a CCD imaging device of high resolution and sensitivity and an optical system that couples the CCD imaging device to the detector screen.
