Improve Availability by Enhanced Maintenance Strategies

Abstract

Knowledge about the condition of processing equipment is getting more and more important due to growing requirements for reliability and availability. This article presents a general method for the building of condition models. This method is explained in more detail for the modelling of the wear condition and a computer aided maintenance assistant is presented in which these methods have been integrated.
