Abstract

The Victorian Smoking and Health Program, also known as Quit, is based in Victoria, a state of Australia which has a population of about 4 million, the majority of whom are based in the city and large regional towns. Legislation to restrict tobacco smoking in public places is ad hoc, and many voluntary smoke-free policies have been developed in workplaces and other public places.
