Abstract

The REXX compiler is a separate program product that can be leased to produce an executable load module from a standard REXX exec. The compiler provides three major benefits:

  • improved performance compared with interpreted code

  • improved syntax checking

  • improved source code security (the source code can be neither read nor changed).
