Transcervical Resection of the Endometrium: Results and Complications

Abstract

Transcervical resection of the endometrium (TCRE) and of fibroids (TCRF) are alternatives to hysterectomy in the treatment of dysfunctional bleeding. The operation is more likely to be successful if patients are carefully selected. Patients who consider TCRE must be aware that further childbearing cannot be considered.1
