Abstract
We are now entering some very spectacular areas in the Milky Way that contains equally spectacular objects. It is a cruel twist of fate that observers in the northern hemisphere are unable to see these objects, so my advice to these observers would be either to plan an observing trip to the southern skies, or do the next best thing and stay at home and read this book.
