Abstract

All the beans you have considered in the last 12 chapters have been graphic beans. That is, they have a specific graphical display which is presented to the user in the BeanBox. However, in some situations there is no obvious graphical display for a bean. What happens then? This chapter presents a bean which allows a BeanBox application to connect to a server application. This bean does not have an inherent visual appearance, yet can still be created and manipulated within the BeanBox.
