Abstract
It is important in programming languages to be able to loop around some parts of the program or to take different actions dependent on the value of data. In tins chapter we look at how you do this. If you know any procedural programming language, you will find the syntax of Java different, but the ideas will seem familiar. There are a few surprises in Java even if you are a C++ programmer.
