Abstract
When you are designing complex applications you can anticipate some of the errors that may occur and deal with them using the exception handling techniques we have looked at. If, for example, you prompt for a file name and that file does not exist a FileNotFoundException is thrown that you can catch and request that another file name is specified. Sometimes, however, errors occur which are unexpected and the program crashes. Sometimes the program runs but produces unexpected results.
