Abstract

The paper deals with some aspects of the virtual reconstruction of three-dimensional scenes and with their animated presentation. Several methods of spatial data capture like airborne laser scanning, photogrammetric and tacheometric measurement, exploration of historical documents used to generate virtual models are mentioned. Some case studies are described to illustrate the various occurring tasks and the techniques used to develop appropriate solutions.
