Abstract
Computer viruses are another class of security problem. They can be classed as such since, at the very least, they reduce the performance and availability of computer systems. They also consume valuable skilled manpower resources in their prevention and cure. Some of the more vicious viruses may destroy data or even render the system unusable. They are not a problem that can be ignored.
