Abstract
You can’t expect an automobile to go hundreds of thousands of miles without a tune-up, and you can’t expect your CAT to put in night after night under the stars without some maintenance. The SCT is remarkably trouble-free when compared to other telescope types, but it still needs occasional adjustments. Making sure your telescope stays in good shape requires learning how to identify and deal with problems of an optical, mechanical and electrical-nature.
