Going Somewhere Else

  • Ray Ward

Abstract

The story and people are my main interest and the medium or technique is driven by my ideas and selected on how relevant it is for the content. My early career was as a painter and performance artist. I use painting to concentrate on a simple idea, portray a moment or glimpse of emotion; from here I like to develop and show the apparently simple as more complicated. In performance, the reverse is true, any ideas that are complicated or unresolved are thought through during the making and performing of the work.
