Abstract
In this chapter we will look at the creation of graphical user interfaces. Such interfaces typically present sophisticated combinations of graphical components such as buttons, text fields, menus, toolbars, tables and trees. We will not attempt to cover all the graphical components available. Rather, we will discuss the basic concepts on which these other components build.
