Abstract
First there were servlets, then there were Java Server Pages (also known as JSPs). Both can serve up data on request, and, in the case of HTTP servlets, both can serve up Web pages on demand. So why have two approaches? The primary problem with servlets is that if you don’t already know Java, it is very difficult to write a servlet!
