Abstract
In Java 2 SDK 1.2 Sun introduced a new set of collection classes. A collection, according to JavaSoft, is a single object representing a group of objects (such as Java’s familiar Vector class). That is they are a collection of other objects. Collections may also be referred to as containers (as they contain other objects). These collection classes are used as the basis for data structures.
