Abstract

Circular and annular plates are important types of structural elements used in engineering applications. In the literature, investigations on the axisymmetric behaviour of circular plates have been almost exclusively on the basis of either the classic or refined classic theories, though attempts were also made to use the three-dimensional elasticity theory for thick circular or annular plates (for example, Celep,1980)
