Abstract

Having taken time to design and develop a movie using the various tools at our disposal, we want to publish the movie for others to see and to use. There are two distinct ways that a movie can be published, either on a CD and played as a standalone file or by means of a web browser. When we choose the former option, the end product is referred to as a projector. In case of the web, we are producing a Shockwave movie. Here, we are embedding our movie amongst any necessary HTML (which is automatically generated by the Director 8.5 environment). Movies can also be exported as Java applets, AVI or QuickTime digital video clips.
