Diagnostic Pathology of Ovarian Tumors

Abstract

This chapter familiarizes the reader with the various germ cell tumors: malignant germ cell tumors (dysgerminoma, embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumor, polyembryoma, choriocarcinoma), benign germ cell tumors (teratomas, carcinoid tumors), malignant mixed germ cell tumors, and gonadoblastoma. The clinical features, macroscopic features, microscopic immunohistochemistry, and differential diagnoses of these tumor types are discussed.
