Abstract
Attachment theory constitutes one of the most active and far-reaching models in developmental psychology. The present chapter deals with basics concepts in the theory, and the one that follows examines the concept of internal working models. That chapter concludes with the present model of how internal working models evolve according to the steps of the present Neo-Piagetian cognitive model.
