Obesity is a risk factor to cause complicated diseases such as diabetes and others. Obesity accompanies an increase in the number or size of adipocytes, which should involve the changes in the life cycle of fat cells. During these processes, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)γ, which is a member of nuclear receptors, plays an important role in the differentiation and the progression of insulin resistance in adipocytes . PPARγ was originally recognized by the fact of the activation by antidiabetic drugs. Later, fatty acids and eicosanoids were found to activate PPARγ as endogenous ligands [1,3].
