Abstract

Seven-year-old Cody never seemed to listen to the teacher’s directions. As soon as the students went to their desks to begin working independently on daily assignments, Cody was up and down out of his seat, playing with small objects in his desk, or bothering the other students around him. He never seemed to complete any of the worksheets, without constant teacher prompts and reminders. Staying in for recess, taking the work home, and conferences with his parents did not seem change this behavior.
