Part of the Universitext book series (UTX)

We pick as our theme for the last chapter in this book the theory of Hankel norm approximation problems. This theory has come to be known generally as the AAK theory, in honor of the pioneering and very influential contribution made by Adamyan, Arov, and Krein [1968a, 1968b, 1971, 1978].
