Abstract

“Learning disabilities” is a denotation often used to describe a variety of problems that can occur during acquisition of knowledge or skills. The problems can vary considerably in nature and manifestations, degree and extent, and duration and course, and they often have complex causes (to the extent to which these can be detected).
