Abstract

If you have seen any calculus at all, you have learned to find the derivative of a polynomial function. If not, it doesn’t matter, because finding the derivative of a polynomial is really an algebraic process which can be performed independent of limits, slopes of tangent lines, or other interpretations which arise in calculus.
