Handbook of Practical Immunohistochemistry

Abstract

Ventana has risen to its current position in the industry by offering some of the most integrated automation solutions. We have invited Ventana to offer perspectives and insights on the role of automation in immunohistochemistry. Ventana experts answer questions regarding the types of technology available and how these technologies address challenges in automating the staining process. They also discuss the process of transferring assays from manual to automated techniques, the role of automation in quality control, connectivity with computer infrastructures, image analysis, the function of automated retrieval methods, and the changing portfolio of antibodies for testing and the new role of multicolor staining protocols.
